Answers to questions...

FAQ: FAQ

My dog has a special diet. Can their needs be accommodated?

Absolutely!! What you feed is what I will feed. No need to change it up!

What do I need to supply for overnight boarding?

I will need you to bring their food, treats if you wish, food dish and their collar with legible name tag. Its ok to bring a special blanket or toy, I will make sure to keep those items for their use only.

How can I check on my dog during their stay?

I am happy to give updates! That's the fun part! I will give out my personal cell phone #, that way I can send pictures and let you know all about their stay.

Are extra potty breaks an additional cost?

No. I am happy to give extra breaks if needed, that is no problem. We have a doggie door, so its easy for them to come and go as they please.

How about grooming? Or baths?

This service is not provided. I have found, in my experience, that most parents wish their dogs to associate boarding as their fun place and for most, grooming is far from fun. If they get muddy, I am happy to rinse them off in the tub with warm water and towel them dry. Otherwise, I would suggest a grooming appointment when they leave.

Where will my dog be sleeping?

There is a beautifully decorated space, "The bower", by the main family room that is specifically all their own. There is a half wall, so we can see and hear them. They have their own flat screen TV, fantastic theraputic dog bed, circular chair and ottoman at window height so they can have a perfect view of the woods and creek.

If your dog gets along well with ours, then they will be hanging out with the fam! If I need to leave, they will stay in the bower (their private room) for safety.

I would like to see where they will play and what the sleeping arrangements will be, can I tour?

Yes, of course! I wouldn't have it any other way. Because this is my home, tours will ONLY be BY APPOINTMENT. Feel free to contact me and I will be happy to set up a time.

Do you take the titer test in place of updated vaccinations? With my older dog, he/she is exempt from certain boosters, is that ok?

Yes, I will take the titer test as proof of vaccination. What is a titer? A titer test is an antibody blood test that can tell you if a previous vaccine is still protecting your dog's immune system. This test can help eliminate over vaccinating your pet.

I will take written consent from your veterinarian if you dog cannot have certain vaccines due to health concerns.

Why should you choose private care?

There are so many reasons to choose private care over a standard boarding facility. Here are just a few reasons why...

At WetFur, there aren't 30-40 dogs running around. All that energy can be too much for some dogs. Its super chill here. Sometimes the dogs get rowdy but that's ok. It's about having fun, not being overwhelmed.

You can drop off and pick up at anytime. There are no designated times that you must adhere to. I am flexible. There is no extra fee associated with this.

I will give updates and pictures sent via text.

If your dog is used to sleeping on the

bed, that is entirely fine. I welcome them on the bed.

If your dog needs extra potty breaks, they will be taken out as many times as they need to go.

They have free access to the house and outside area. They are part of the family and can go where they please. There are lots of cozy places to curl up and take an afternoon snooze.

Feel free to call me with any questions. I am always happy to chat!

Do you provide a taxi or shuttle service?

This is always open for discussion. If you want to meet me and I am able to, I have a great meet point. Close to I-84. It's at the Starbucks at the Columbia Gorge Outlets. Its about 20-25 minutes to the airport from there. Super convenient. Just hop onto Marine drive, then to 122nd & Airport Way and your there! This is not an extra charge.

My dog tends to mark, will that be a problem?

No. We have several sizes of belly bands that we can use for our males that have this tendency. We will change and or check them frequently. Most dogs don't seem to mind when wearing them.

Just an extra FYI on making reservations...

Because there is limited space available, make sure to get your dates in as soon as you can. I have clients book months in advance. I know that sometimes plans pop up, don't hesitate to give me a call, I just might have an opening. Everyone loves to pamper their pooch! This is the place to be! So think ahead and make your reservation today!
